Refurbishment and remodelling of specialist teaching spaces at Monkwearmouth Academy, Sunderland, with associated improvements to the vehicle entrance.
Principal Contractor; phased delivery around the academic calendar, with the Science, DT and Art classrooms handed back for the start of the new school year.
- Strip-out, demolition and internal remodelling
- New partitions, acoustic treatments and acoustic doors to Music rooms
- Bespoke teaching desks, joinery, storage and worktops
- Electrical and plumbing upgrades, including replacement sinks and taps
- New floor finishes, ceiling works and decorations
- Audio-visual installations and roller blinds
- Testing, commissioning and phased handover
- Vehicle entrance widening, gates, paving and associated external works planned as a separate phase
